PictureLink is designed to capture mugshot images quickly and easily, even in the most demanding environments. With PictureLink’s exclusive automated capture and quality assurance features, a mugshot can be captured, sized and attached to a data record in seconds.

Auto Capture enables the system to locate the subject and capture a photo without user intervention. The system automatically directs the camera to pan, tilt, zoom and crop the image to NIST Best Practice Standards for Quality Assurance. This makes it easy for your officers to capture consistent high quality images with minimal effort. PictureLink also streamlines the process of SMT image capture and image classification so that your officers can move through the booking process quickly and safely. PictureLink’s intuitive, simple to use, forms design tool allows agencies to create any type of custom printout. Images, graphics, data, bar codes and other objects can be easily combined to produce agency forms, such as, Wanted posters, ID badges, wristbands, booking summary sheets and various other arrest forms. During the forms creation process, the WYSIWYG display presents a continuous preview of the form using the active data record. PictureLink supports most Windows-compatible printers, including ID card printers. The multiple page print option enables the agency to direct each individual page in the form to any designated network printer.

PictureLink includes a suite of investigative tools designed for the specific needs of detectives and investigative personnel. Fully-integrated Disguise and Image Enhancement features offer powerful image manipulation capabilities and the convenience of modifying images from within the application. The Lineup and Witness Modules enable users to generate electronic lineups and mugbooks for on-screen viewing and/or printing.

Both Lineup and Witness Manager Modules use a set of application wizards to guide users through the process step-by-step. Lineup formats can be generated for 6, 8, 9 or 12 up, as well as sequential layouts (i.e., single image per page). Lineup Manager can be configured to randomize the position of subjects and provide a lineup history for each subject being used. The Witness Manager enables investigators to compile an electronic “mugbook” for witnesses to view and tag suspects. Witness session information is tracked and saved, and security features permit a witness to review the session unsupervised. Lineup and witness sessions can be recalled at any time.

DataLink is a built-in data application interface that enables PictureLink to work within your application environment using data collected during the booking process. DataLink makes all of the system data entered into your Records, Jail and Livescan systems available in PictureLink, and provides access to and management of stand-alone image databases as well as integrated RMS/JMS image interfaces. Using industry-standard database connectivity protocols and database access controls, DataLink can be used with just about any mainstream back-end data source.

DataLink is a powerful and completely configurable graphical user interface. System screens are completely user-definable and each screen is the equivalent of a dynamic data filtering tool. DataLink’s query-building capabilities also provide users with a powerful search mechanism for locating records and performing investigative inquiries.

PictureLink includes a set of tools for system administrators to manage the PictureLink environment. Administrators can create and link users to specific image databases and assign role-based permissions to each host database. Administrators can also use the Admin Module to manage system configurations, quality settings, camera calibration and various other system settings.

In addition to the Admin Module, PictureLink includes features for expunging and/or sealing records, as well as transferring images between records to correct user error.
