Austin Replaces FIMS Pro with PictureLink Mugshot System

by Dynamic Imaging Systems January 1, 2010

Dynamic Imaging Systems is proud to announce that Austin Police Department, TX has replaced their existing PSP system with the PictureLink Mugshot System.

Austin Police Department uses PictureLink to manage images and data from multiple systems in use by the agency. For juveniles, Austin enters booking data into the city’s Versadex records management system.  A Dynamic Imaging Systems supplied interface then makes the data available in PictureLink via the included Datalink graphical user interface.  This makes the record available for image capture using PictureLinks advanced mugshot imaging module with Auto Image Capture technology.  After the booking is completed, the mugshot image is sent to the Versadex system and copy of the arrest data and photos are sent to the PictureLink online repository.

For adult bookings, Austin uses their existing TIPS system at Travis County in conjunction with an interface developed by Dynamic Imaging systems.  The interface works in the background and pulls arrest records with photos from TIPS and sends it to the PictureLink online repository.
With data and images being imported into the PictureLink online repository from both the Versadex and TIPs system, investigators now have a powerful tool for investigative use.  Look ups, accessing forms, and creating lineups is easily accomplished using PictureLinks desktop or web based application
